"Listen to Your Mother"

We have recruited some truly amazing story tellers and are looking forward to an entertaining and enjoyable performance of Listen to Your Mother on May 13! Ticket sales will go on sale soon. Please also consider making a donation to the fundraiser in honor of a loved one.

Given the theme of this event, the obvious plea is for you to make a donation in honor of, or in memory of, a special woman in your life, but we are a community of families and chosen families, and we welcome a donation in honor of any important parental figure or other person in your life. You may also, of course, simply donate to support TvO, and we would also welcome any donations that honor a member of our TvO community!

Half of the proceeds from our ticket sales will go toward The Finger Lakes Climate Fund, a program that TvO is supporting as a part of our Climate Justice Initiative. The FLCF provides gap funding for energy upgrades for the homes of low-to-moderate income families. Specifically, the grants cover upgrades that help to meet the equity and climate goals of the Ithaca Green New Deal. The FLCF receives carbon offset donations from individuals and businesses for their travel and building energy emissions and uses those funds for home upgrades, which reduce an equal amount of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. It is a triple win for equity, the climate, and growing the green economy.
